Weekly Overview (6th – 12th July)
Member of the Month
Congratulations to our June Member of the Month, Samantha Jefferson-Crouch, who completed her very first ultramarathon in Morzine.

Vo2 Max Testing
The university has offered us the opportunity to undertake VO₂ max + lactate threshold testing. Approx £100 per test (normally ~£200 elsewhere)- this might reduce further if demand is high enough. 2 people can test at once, so no need to come alone
What is it?
VO₂ max and lactate testing measure how efficiently your body uses oxygen and at what intensity it starts to fatigue and accumulate lactate during exercise.
Each participant receives a detailed report covering their training zones, lactate thresholds, and speed/heart rate zones. Essentially a personalised roadmap for getting the most out of their training. It’s not just for competitive runners either, it’s genuinely useful for anyone looking to train smarter, whether that be a parkrun time or just feeling better on a long run.
Watch out for dates.
