Seagrave Challenge
Saturday 11th November saw 10 NRR runners take on the 13th annual Seagrave Challenge – an event that was devised to encourage exploration of the rolling countryside around Seagrave Wolds, and to raise money for local good causes. After being serenaded by a bagpiper and the town crier, all participants observed a 1 minute silence before heading off for 15.6 miles of footpaths, bridle ways, private farm land and minor roads encountering stiles, a stream with stepping stones and lots and lots of mud. Drinks and cakes were plentiful throughout the event but the highlight was the famous crumble and custard for everyone who completed the course.
