Details
Northampton Road Runners participate in the 3 Counties Cross Country League. The League is
made up of 14 teams from Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire ;
Ampthill & Flitwick Fliers, Bedford Harriers, Biggleswade AC, Box-Fit Triathlon, Dunstable RR,
Leighton FR, Northampton RR, Northampton Triathlon, North Herts RR, Olney Runners, Stopsley Striders,Team East Haddon, Wellingborough & D AC &
Wootton RR.
Each course is 4.5 - 5 miles long and will be on grass, tracks, shingle paths and mud but not on roads.
Entry is £3 and is open to any member who can manage this distance.
Post race there is a well deserved roll, cake and hot drink
To take part each team requires a minimum of seven men and three lady runners for the scoring.
You will be issued with a raffle ticket at the end of the race to signify your finishing position within your gender (which is also the
number of points gained).
This must be handed into our points coordinator.
Each teams coordinator will then record the points from the first seven men and the first
three ladies and the team with the lowest number of points is the winner.
Even if you don't score points for the team you are still helping the team. For every scoring
member of another team that you are in front of, you are increasing their position and
therefore their teams points.
If you are interested in taking part please see Mark Garrett at the club who is
coordinating the team. He will issue you with a running number prior to your first
event.
Don't throw your number away as this is your number for all subsequent events in the series.
A club vest MUST be worn at these events
Transport to the events can be arranged by car sharing and/or minibus
