Lode Half
The Lode Half, now in its 5th year, is a flat as a pancake route through the fens of Cambridgeshire just over an hour away from home.
The course follows country trails and footpaths on an out and back route with only three bridges to cross meaning there is no respite from the full on pace. Unseasonable weather meant a calm but foggy morning giving an eerie feel the day after Halloween.
This year, the one sole runner from NRR, Mark Kennedy took advantage of the great conditions with a fantastic PB of 1:30:12, finishing 17th overall.
