Snowdonia Marathon
A big contingent of NRR runners and supporters made their way to the Snowdonia Marathon on Saturday 24th October. Horrible weather couldn't dampen the spirits of the 14 in the field as their were some amazing performances all round.
David Green was 6th overall in 2:47:54 and Norbert Mihalik and Mark Garrett also broke the four hour barrier in 3:13:48 and 3:53:58 respectively.
Eamon Kennedy (4:00:56) and Gavin Harris (4:01:15) put in brilliant performances, Gavin grabbing a PB on this tough course too.
Ronnie Ambrose finished in 4:06:29 ahead of Matt Brand pacing Pete Moor, a Snowdon regular now, in 4:11:37. Charlotte Yarker finished in 4:16:22 followed by Darren Byfield in 4:25:45 and Wendy Parker in 4:27:23.
Marathon Man Andy Cottrell was next in 4:27:24 followed by the other Marathon Man John Eales 4:41:03. John starts his quest of seven marathons in seven days the following day.
Jocelyn Granger completed a brilliant NRR field in 4:42:59.
