We Ate All The Pies At The Ponton Plod
Sharky, Gavin and Roger visited Lincolnshire for The Ponton Plod
Another great LDWA race with all the cakes to go with it. The Ponton Plod is a undulating course of roads, fields, and tracks starting from Ponton Village Hall. Starting at 8.30 on a sunday with 3 distances: 12, 17 (Roger) and 27 (Gavin and Sharky).
All routes started together then after a mile they split. Runners get a card which is clipped at points through the route. There are plenty of arrows showing you the way (or not in Rogers case).
Checkpoints also featured lots of cake and biscuits which apparently is a feature of LDWA events.
Charming and friendly. Lovely sunny day. Hard work but who can grumble when you get so well fed and looked after.
