Christmas Cross Country at Letchworth

A huge field went off in good spirits in the also very unusual spring like sunshine, across the muddy fields and along the country lanes, the course is just over 5 miles in distance.
There were some great sprint finishes along a flat straight stretch – Jo Letts probably displaying the most aggressive, want to win look as she raced for the line. Mark Lewis was also not letting his rival beat him as he raced to the line. Keren and Kirsty broke the mold by skipping the final stretch.
The ladies team recorded NRR’s highest ever cross country finish with the team coming 5th. The men also grabbed 5th spot too giving a combined league position of 5th on the day and 6th overall. The final event of the season is at Bedford on Sunday 3rd January – click here for more details.
